God created men,god created women....but what did they create for themselves….”Orkut”

Having finished my first project(which by my standards is a great achivement) and being told to prepare(doing R&D according to my manager) for my next project i am quite outta work.Sending and reading mails and browsing have become the order of the day coupled with a hour long lunch break and two half hour tea breaks.In this process of pushing time i jumped into this site called "Orkut" , an online community.so whats new about the new orkut(www.orkut.com)that makes u an addict(believe me everybody spends a considerable 2 hours on orkut every single day ).before going into details let me mention that this is another invention from yet another stanford guy.....sorry a geek by the name Orkut Buyukkokten on the lines of yahoo,google,sun and what not!.how in the world do these stanford guys alone come up with such ideas....


Having given such a build up let me go into the details.

1.This community has up to this date over 400,000 people and is growing tremendously (wondering how a community of that magnitude missed ur notice!!!)

2.U cant just join.u shud be recommended by a friend.

3.once u gotta friend u can see the profile of any body(read as "any girl") and their pics too.

4.there are desperate guys looking for girls(some for guys too) and more desperate girls looking for boys(shud i mention they look for girls too.).so now u have a point to go to the site ...isnt it.

5.Also groups for every damn thing on earth including some nice technical groups(which is of no use to me anyway).

bored of being a yahoo.try being a orkutian and enjoy the fun.
